I think my stall might have just ended. 21 lbs lost before the stall then nothing for 2+ weeks. I even gained about three pounds.

I got frustrated and started waffling at least 10000 steps a day. That seems to have worked.

But only three more pounds down as of this week. .. so maybe it's Water weight. Who knows. I'm shrinking in inches for sure. (Wearing regular sized 18 and XL for the first time in years.) Just not losing pounds!

20lbs in 2 1/2 weeks is great!! Congrats!! I have been getting in all my protein no problem but I think I've been slacking on the water. That is my goal this week...WATER, and get 30 min of exercise EVERY day. Hopefully this will help.

How's everyone's weight loss going? I can't help but be depressed with my weight loss numbers. It's exactly one month and I'm down 17lbs. Plus the 10 from pre-op...so 27 total which sounds pretty good. I just can't help but feel like 17lbs in the first month is terribly disappointing. :( The good news is I'm not giving up, I can't. So I'll just have to get used to it I guess.

It sounds like you're doing good. I've lost 40 lbs since my preop diet, but only 24 since my day of surgery. I'm 6 weeks out. So it sounds like you're about on the same track as me.

I so wish I could make myself weigh only once a week but I can't do it. I'm in a stall right now, expected because it's almost that time of the month, but I've accepted that stalls are part of it. I pretty much knew when I got up today that my weight wouldn't have changed since yesterday and I was right. Not even an ounce. But I'm ok with that. It will happen in time.

Yeah it sounds like we're right around the same pace. I'm not ready for a stall yet! Lol, but I know it will come :(. I would drive myself crazy if I weight more than once a week. I'm driving myself crazy as it is when I weigh in and it's only 1 or 2lbs. Just seems so slow for so early in the process. But I know everyone is different. I'm just having a little pitty party for myself since I weighed I this morning. I'm usually quite positive about this whole experience and life change.

The slower you lose the less excess skin! That's good right! I have always been a faster loser with any program or diet I have done. I think it's partly because of my age.. I'll be 24 tomorrow. But you really need to get that Water in to flush out the ketones. For those of you who have that nasty flippen taste in your mouth, tastes like metallic or an aluminum can... I have found the more water I drink to flush out those ketones the better it is. I'm not cleared to go back to the gym yet but I have a black lab who keeps me busy on the leash and I've been parking far away and taking the stairs every chance I get.

I'm losing slow and steady, averaging a pound a day, no complaints here. Energy level still up and down but no worries still getting my walks in. Water seems to be a struggle with all of us but I'm sure it will get better. Most days I get my Protein in but hitting purée food next week so I'm sure my amount will drop. Keep up the good work my fellow Marchies :)

Went for my 2 wk post op and was told I could start introducing soft foods. I could try fish as long as I could break with a fork, chicken, tuna, could have fruit as long as it is cut toddler size n veggies as long as it was soft. Also remember to chew n chew. I am learning when I am full, keeping a log, making sure to get my Protein in but the Water is the hardest. I am averaging a 1-2 lb weight loss a week.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
