I got way to excited today after my 7 day pre operate appointment. I got home at one , took one table spoon of tuna and combined with Greek yogurt until smooth. Well it is 7pm and I can not get it to pass. I've tried manually. Not very comfortable. Has anyone tried anything to help pass this besides going to the doctor

Yikes tuna already...soft fish at day 28 or 4 weeks out....you should be on milk yogurt and Protein Shakes and ice chips help alot with hydration... I see many people on the forum eating foods wayyy to soon...and like you having problems...soft foods 3rd week out...cottage cheese...mashed...mushy potatoes etc

I am 7 days post op and am having a lot of gas discomfort. Also struggling with the liquid diet. I used to like Protein Drinks not sure if my taste buds have changed but now they make me extremely nauseous. I've tried a few different powder Proteins. Any suggestions. I'm living off yogurt and getting sick of that too!!

Soups..pureed..haha...milk...milk/protein smoothies...be careful with sugar content...puddings low fat...low sugar...theres more foods than you realize..these are plenty...just pick new flavors and 7vdays will be gone soft foods next week...for both of us....i am 8 days post op..week 2 post op diet...nice for a change ..im enjoying the freezer chocolate low fat low sugar pudding... the jellonpudfing in a box...and have you tried isoflex Protein shakes..a little expensive but one smsll box will feed me 3x...i think...

Ugh anyone eles get cold sores? Today I woke up with my 2nd one since surgery. I knew this would happen so I took my antiviral right up until surgery and a week out I still got one. The pills were way to big for me to take then but when I woke up with the dreaded tingle today I immediately sprinted to my car in my pajamas to get my meds and started cutting the pills into smaller sizes. I hope it works.

Other than that, today is 5 weeks for me and I think I might finally be starting to feel normal. I had no pain for the first time yesterday (knock on wood) and I've been able to find things to eat I actually like the past few days. Wendy's chili is awesome, Quest bars are ok, and cheese and crackers may be the best thing ever. How are the rest of you Marchies doing?

Week 3 no bowel movement in 6 days! What do I do?

Take a colace and/or eat a couple sugar free popsicles. If you don't go by morning, call your doctor

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
