Same problem here!

I feel like I am eating way too much and want too eat too much. March 3 was my Date and I'm 2 weeks out. I'm on puréed/ soft. Cottage cheese, cheese, Beans, eggs are all things I can have. Soup as well.

I have a feeling it's all head hunger but I keep wanting to eat more and more! I'm not getting a "full" feeling at all. I try to stick to 1/4 cup or so when I do eat. And shakes in between.

It's always worse at night. I'm so frustrated! I end up "snacking" and having a small amount in between. I'm normally 600 and under... But I'm stalled in my weight loss.

Tips? Please please!!! I feel like I'm going crazy between trying to figure out what I'm supposed to feel and what I'm not: then getting worried; and even panicking!

Maybe I just need a buddy to message when I feel "hungry" and they can tell me "NO!"

You need to really stick to the portion sizes that the surgeon gives you. It takes awhile for the pouch to heal and for the receptors to work again. These tell you when you are hungry or full. The sensations you will feel post op will be different than before surgery and take awhile to get used to. To me, and many others I've heard of, hunger feels different post op. Once the pouch starts to heal, you will begin to feel full alot faster. Stick to the recommended amount of food and give your pouch time to heal. It does get easier.

Totally agree with Dorian! liquids are magic for getting past the head hunger. I love Decaf coffee but there are lots of options. I recently found Nestle Pure Life Splash flavored waters. They come in a bunch of flavors, zero calories (and just about everything else) and 25g of sodium. Try the liquids and give those nerves (stretch sensors) time to heal. Usually only takes a few weeks so you're getting close. You'll be amazed on how full you get and how little you ate!

Were takin all my cousins to the museum so improvising is in order.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
