I guess I had this a little the first few weeks whenever I took too big a bite. Very very small bites will probably help. Most of the time my bites were no more than 1/4 teaspoon

I'm 7 months out, and don't feel it at all....initially I did, but I can't remember how long it lasted......I'm thinking at 3 weeks old, your sleeve may still be healing from the surgery...but if it is a problem, ask your surgeon about it.

I'm almost 5 weeks out. I can feel it now if I take too big of a bite. It's much less than a few weeks ago.

I'm 2 months post-op today (3/10) and it seems that this issue is getting worse with me. It wasn't this bad until about 2 weeks ago and now I feel everything and it's really uncomfortable and this is with thoroughly chewing and small bites. Even slowly sipping liquids bother me. Sometimes it feels like a toddler is kicking me in the chest when I try to eat or drink. Even mashed potatoes bother me and they didn't three weeks ago. I think I'm going back to the soft food stage for a week or two and hope this helps when I return to solids.

I am 4 weeks post op and I'm having the same problems. I will try to take smaller bites. I was thinking that maybe I was eating too fast and it could be a part of the problem. Sometimes I feel like I am so hungry, I eat, and then I'm miserable. Can't wait for this part to be overwith.

You are not alone, I am 7 week post op and I thought I was eating too fast. I did go back to mushy foods cause I feel so uncomfortable when the food is going down. I would love to know what is going on, Is the pouch getting smaller?

My surgery was February 17th, and I can feel my food! I was told to take smaller bites, eat slower and chew really well. That helps. But there are times that it just sits in my throat, which is uncomfortable and slightly disgusting! Mostly I stop eating when I'm satisfied, but there are times when I just try and get in full servings of my small meals, and go too far. I do hope it gets better, but am somewhat grateful that I have a built in indicator to when I've had too much!

Sorry today at 7 months I still feel my food and liquid filling my sleeve.

Them I sit at the table and wince until things settle. Maybe I don't chew enough

but it seems I'm getting use to it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
