I'm 5 weeks out. Able to eat almost anything. It's 3am and I feel..almost hungry. I can't tell if it's hunger or if it's my sleeve dumping what's left in there. I ate three times today, about 4oz per meal, and had 20oz of fluids about two hours ago. It's not the same hunger feeling as before..but my sleeve feels empty. It's 3am for Pete's sake.. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, you are doing well at 5 weeks. Sometimes adding a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) helps (like Prilosec) since it might be stomach irritation. My trick, whenever I am unsure of hunger is DRINK! Drinking can fill you up for a little while so you can get back to sleep...

I have always had to have some form of Protein at night to get me through to the next day. I small handful of nuts if you can handle it or cheese , yogurt, even a Protein Shake, something that will help you make it through.

I have experienced the feeling you are talking about a few times and found that this was the only solution for me.

3 meals at this stage is not enough. Protein intake is so important and if you are only having 3 meals you are not getting in enough. It won't hurt you to have a bit of protein later in the evening....

Okay. :)

I ended up just going to sleep. Today is the first day I haven't needed to take my zofran since surgery, and it's weird. I'm trying to eat smaller portions throughout the day, but even before the sleeve I was only eating once a day. Hard habit to break.
