IzzyBelle 94 Posted March 9, 2014 Hello everyone I had my sleeve done on 2/4/14, After about 3 weeks i noticed i was not getting enough liquids. I felt like it took forever to drink and I was barely getting 6 cups of Fluid in, and doctor recommended 7-8. I see a therapyst who is helping me deal with all of this. I brought this up and she gave me a great tip, and its working really well. She said: Take small sips, when you feel thirsty the first time take one small sip The next time you are thirsty take 2 small sips Then 3 Then 4 and so on until you feel full. Make sure they are small sips, and this way you will be able to recognize when you are full, with out pain, and will be able to get more fluid in. This was so helpful, i had to write to all to let you know. If it helped me I hope it can help others. Good luck to all, we are all amazing for doing this. -IzzyBelle 3 Stacyann81, time4change031113 and moddd reacted to this

bearman99 228 Posted March 9, 2014 Sip like its your job. Sip every other minute. Use a timer for a weekend. Sip like your life depends on it. I heard/read someone said "sip like it is your job" I liked that. 3 1Day1Life4Now, Steph W-O and motherearth reacted to this
alwaysonadiet 47 Posted March 9, 2014 The problem is the pain. I usually have to spit the last sip out because I cannot judge how many sips are comfortable for me. Thanks for the counting tip. I'll try that.
