I noticed differences between people, and I am trying to determine what are the most common elements.

Nothing!!! 6.5 months post op and nothing has made me sick, never thrown up.......sleeve o' steel. That , of course, is a blessing and a curse.

I could finally eat at 6 weeks without feeling sick or regurgitating my food. I had to stay on liquids one extra week cause purée caused issues. But all of a sudden at 6 weeks.. I was all good eating chicken, beef, seafood, etc...

I had issues with ham, ground beef, beef roast at any amounts when I attempted those 1.5-2months out. No issues with soft foods such as scrambled eggs, tuna, haddock, tilapia, ground turkey, ground pork, chicken (dark meat). Mind you I could only eat about an ounce of those for a few weeks. I can now handle about 3oz of any dense Protein a little over 3 months out just have to take my time eating some of it slower then others like the beef roast, pork roast, etc...

A month out I was eating scrambled egg, fat free refried Beans, cheese and turkey deli meat. I haven't found anything that bothers my sleeve except for my bariatric Vitamins. Sleeve O' Steel here as well.

I had an issue with spicy food early on. Now, 6 months out, spicy is not too much of an issue.

Frankensleeve didn't like anything except for the most puree type foods for about 3 months post-op. I pretty much stuck to Cream of Mushroom Soup, refried Beans, and Premier chocolate Protein drinks. On the occasions that I did try a new food, my stomach felt like a garbage disposal with rocks grinding up in it.

My main concern is Water...I read its a comon nausea trigger which would be a problem for me as right now I dont really like to drink anything but Water and Orange juice.

Is water nausea that common?

I find that certain brands of bottled Water go down easier for me. We have well water and I don't like the taste at all. My favorite bottled water brands are Dasani, Aquafina and Crystal(5 gallon bottle for cooler from Home Depot)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
