I did not twist words it says that "homosexuality" is the way of death

Are you referring to the fact that homosexuals cannot reproduce naturally with one another? So, tell me, do you think heterosexual couples remaining childless by choice is a sin?

MRS. Alexandra I do I belive that Homosexuality from what the Bible says about it is a sin.

It is a sin and the wages of sin is death

but if you belive in JESUS and turn from sin and turn to Him

one will be saved.

Hey, It is interesting, I am not a Christian but my notion of Christianity is that Jesus was a caring and benevolent figure who wanted to embrace people from all walks of life and bring them into the fold.

It is funny that some people who profess to be Christians are the most hate filled ,nasty people, that try to dictate to others how they must live their lives.

It is irrelevant, but I am actually a heterosexual female.

I am sorry but I don't buy this whole notion of sinning. People are born into this life to be who they are, and live to their full potential.

In 2007 I would have hoped we had evolved a little bit more.

Hi Leatha, I think you could be right on this. I have found people like that to be in the minority as time goes by. Most people just want to live alongside each other happily. Susannah

I just smell a troll, so perhaps by NOT reacting to his behavior, we can move forward in peace without having to say offensive things to or about any one particular group? Just my 2 cents..

On the one hand, I agree. On the other hand, to me, this a perfect example of "many" (notice I say many, not all) "Christian" people doing the following:

1. Cramming their beliefs down other's throats by blathering on and on about Jesus, who the majority of people on the earth DO NOT BELIEVE IN.

2. Saying inflammatory and degrading things about non-Christians.

3. Advocating hatred against Gays.

But whenever I try to point out this kind of behavior from "Christian" people, I get branded as being "judgemental", "mean" and "nasty".

This person here exactly proves many points I have been trying to make on certain threads that some "Christians" are really really nasty and want to take away Gay people's rights.

And you know, I think I've been very very nice and polite about it, much more nice and polite than this person.

I'm soooo sick and tired of pandering to this nonsense about Jesus. Jesus is a MYTH.

I'm sick of people attacking Gays and Lesbians with hate speech in the name of a mythological figure who about as much validity as Santa Claus. Sick of it!

I don't care any more. I am soooo done being polite about Christianity. It's people like 396Power that push me over the edge from being respectful to just plain being angry.

Hey, 396 I accept your apology. Just know that we are all bandsters/future bandsters here just looking for support and advice. I understand that this is the rants and raves section of the board, but I am sure we have many gay and lesbian bandsters on this board. They are discriminated against enough in the wider community, they don't need to log on here and feel demonised also.

Beautifully said, Susannah. And 396, your apology is appreciated! I hope we can move forward with debates in peace without attacking one another.

I too accept your apology 396.

It is greatly appreciated.

I too apologize for my angry rant. I do know that many Christians are loving and good people.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
