Scrambled eggs versus peanut butter?

Recommended Posts

I can eat all the scrambled eggs I want (and prefer the with a half a slice of cheese) but cannot eat peanutbutter at all. The first tie I pb'd on it I thought I didn't chew long enough...tonight I tried it again, chewed for everything I was worth and it still came up. Oh well...the band and the weather...both fickle.

I haven't noticed a problem with eggs but bread, tortillas, pasta... I can eat two, sometimes 3 bites and no matter how much I chew I feel sick and either up it comes or I sit for 20 minutes trying not to. This last fill has really helped me to slow down eating. If I don't go really slow I have to stop after the second bite in most cases. I haven't even tried pop or any other carbonated liquids because my doc told me that was a big no no. So even tho I have heard other people drink that stuff I haven't had any since the day before my surgery. If I keep it in my head that I can't have it, it is easier for me to stay away from it. cm

I don't have a problem with eggs at all! Actually I don't have a problem with anything so far, I try to stay away from all the "white" stuff, but once in a while take a few bites of bread but when I do, I am very careful with it.

Pat, I don't ever remember you coming to breakfast! lol, that is exactly how I fix them. My son and DH can't wait for me to come home for the summer. They are sooo tired of their own cooking...

In addition to all that yummy fixin's on my eggs, I also have fallen in love with the new jalipeno tabasco sause. I could eat that stuff with a spoon!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
