I haven't PB'd. I guess I am just being overly anxious. I am just not used to getting full on so little. I took my time with it. I know I spent about 30 minutes trying to get what I did eat down. I guess this is just better restriction than I am used to having. I have lost 3 pounds since Tuesday. I guess I just need to stop being crazy. Restriction is what I wanted. I haven't asked since that one time, how much I have in my band. I will just keep an eye on it and take my time with my eating. I am cooking some chicken in the crock pot for dinner tonight. I guess that will be my test.

Punkster, I am glad that you are feeling better after your unfill.

Y'all have a great Friday!

Well, i was able to eat the meat from a chicken thigh. I also had a couple bites of veggies and rice. It all went down fine. I guess i was worrying for nothing. You all have a great weekend!

slim, if you have really good restriction, it should take you at least 30 minutes to eat. I know it seems like a long time, but you will get used to it.

i hope that is true, slim. i can now eat anything it seems but it is much better than not being able to eat much of anything. i have the same appt in july that i guess i will get another fill at. i am swinging all around my sweet spot i feel. i trust this process and know that i will get there hopefully sooner rather than later.

hope everyone is doing well.

I am so sorry punkster. I have been there. I keep going there. When it is time for me to have a fill, I start to lose and gain the same pounds. You might try to either drop your calories for a couple days or up your exercise for a couple of days to shake you out of that. The couple of times that I have tried that, it seems to finally make me drop the pounds that I kept losing/gaining. Also, I have found that even though I don't want to eat like I am on a diet, I am going to have to do it more often than not to lose. I do ok for a little while eating what my family eats, but then it just starts creeping back up. I wish that I had a better answer for you.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
