I all. I have a silly question. I'm in the clearance phase and I probably will have surgery in April. I have a cruise booked for thanksgiving week in November. I will be 7 months post op by then. do you think I will be ok to go? Meaning will I be on reg food by then? Do you think I will be ok to do vigorous activities? Thanks for any input.

I'm flying to Greece when I'm 4 1/2 months post op. I'll be climbing mountains and walking a lot but I'm confident I'll be fine. A cruise should offer unlimited food selections that are diet friendly so you should be good to go. If you are exercising all along you should be strong enough to do anything you wish to do. Good luck.

As long a there are no complications (just being real) you will be perfectly fine! I am going to Florida (Disney world/universal) in July, I will be 7 months out by then, and I am ALREADY ready to go!!! Have a great time on your cruise!

I am 3.5 months out - I can do anything I did prior to surgery. I just returned from a trip to San Francisco where my husband and I walked all over the city, including the really steep hills. We had a great time.

For food - I have no restrictions. I am free to eat anything I want. I follow my docs rule of Protein first and if I have room, a couple of bites of vegetable and if there is room, maybe some bread. I don't get the to bread. :-)

At 7 months, you should be living a normal life, assuming you had no complications. Enjoy!!!!!!

Hi you were in my neck of the woods. Did you get stuck in the rain storms we had?

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
