pookybear 284 Posted March 7, 2014 I'm one year out. I haven't really had to deal with head hunger yet. I'm only now discovering that I eat when I'm bored. I try to have healthy Snacks like popcorn, black bean chips and hummus, nuts, cheese sticks, etc. Mainly it's at night before bed and at work when it's really slow. What are some things you guys do to get over the head hunger. Like I said, it really wasn't that much of an issue for the first year. Now that I can eat a little more I really notice it. DLCoggin 1,788 Posted March 8, 2014 For me it's coffee. I love coffee and fluids (certainly doesn't have to be coffee) are a great way to bridge the gap between meals. Or in your case, to fill you up before going to bed (if you go with coffee you probably want to drink decaf). It has worked for me since 6 months post-op (which is when my surgeon OK'd decaf) right up to this day (almost two and half years post-op). I never eat less than two or more than four hours apart. If I'm hungry in between, it's head hunger and drinking something works like a charm! 1 phil2912 reacted to this
pookybear 284 Posted March 8, 2014 coffee is a fantastic idea. I love coffee lol...I'm a carb addict. Always have been, always will be. I get cravings for chips, popcorn, etc. 2 DLCoggin and phil2912 reacted to this
