Teachamy 1,042 Posted March 7, 2014 Have any of you noticed you need less carbs. to treat low blood sugars than you used to? I am rebounding all over the place after a low.
nana2mo 2 Posted March 8, 2014 Hi, I also am type 1 diabetic. I was looking for someone else who might share with me. I still am having trouble adjusting my insulin levels. What are you using to correct your lows? I am using a lot less insulin but have had to deal with some lows. I see the endocrinologist on Monday, hopefully he can help me. Sorry I don't have any answers I am looking for some too.
TheNewSusie 471 Posted March 8, 2014 I'm 21 months out and I've been type one for 17 years. I always carry Quest bats on hand when my bs drops. I take 3-5 units of novolin N and 1-2 units of Novolin R when I over due the carbs. I used to take a mix of both at 60 units a day and easily 150 carbs a day. I keep my carbs 20-30 a day and drink my Water. Also have single vanilla Protein packets in my purse that I mix with milk when I'm at work or a mix the milk and protein mixture with my iced coffee and it brings it back up.
