stephaniemay74 1 Posted March 7, 2014 I had a gastric bypass in 2007. I had a revision 9 days ago. I was supposed to start regular liquids 2 days ago for the next week then advance to softs for 4 weeks. Tonight I had to attend a memorial service for a friend and out of depression/bad habits I ate some chips and salsa and a bite of a quesadilla at dinner when everyone gathered. I threw up twice before leaving the restaurant, once on the way home, and twice when I got here. I know the seriousness of what I've done, but at the time I really wasn't thinking. I have no doubt that everything I ate has come up by now but my stomach is still severely hurting...like a cramping in the bowel area. It almost feels like needing to poop and you're trying to hold it in. I have eliminated that as a cause of the pain already. I'm thinking I might have seriously hurt something. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Should I be concerned enough to contact the doctor? I just want the hurting to stop. 1 maryjane1393 reacted to this
terry1118 1,274 Posted March 7, 2014 Always call your doctor. It's what they're there for. As far as eating those foods way too early, you know it was wrong. And you know why. I hope everything is okay. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
JillC878 59 Posted March 7, 2014 Please call your doctor. It is better to be safe and contact them for nothing, then it be something bad and you never call. Your health is important. Call.
RJ'S/beginning 5,358 Posted March 7, 2014 You had your first experience that you can identify as eating for the wrong reasons. the reason you have had this surgery in the first place. you identified it and that is a tremendous growth on your part. Fixing your thinking will help fix your body...Knowing what triggers us to do things we know we shouldn't and being able to stop it before we indulge is a huge step forward in this journey. It would be wise to talk to your doctor just to make sure all is okay...... It's all a learning process and one that will take a long time to finally figure out.....You did good girl figuring it out! 1 Meintraining reacted to this
