I've been thinking what's the big deal if my food weighs 6.5 oz instead of the recommended 5 oz. I figure as long as I take 45 min to eat. What's the big deal.

I don't suppose it is a big deal.. Unless, of course, you're packing away a load of calories.

The more you eat, the more you'll get used to - I would have thought would be the school of thought on that one?

It all comes back to ... are you able to do what you're doing and still lose weight or maintain (whichever you're aiming for), and are you feeling well? Good energy, etc.?

I think you need to read over your recent posts in both your accounts, its all about food portions and overeating.
Concern about stretching your sleeve knowingly eating more than you are told to saying your going to overeater’s anonymous etc
It doesn’t; effect any of us if you manipulate or twist what your told to do and not follow your rules it only effects you.
Showing concern one day for what you are doing then explaining it away with why no its actually ok for you to knowingly overeat the next is going to cause issues for yourself.
Again not any of us but you and you only.

You do make a good point. And your correct. I'm just fed up. I'm just going to have to do more research and seperate fears, facts and fallacies.

There's no surgery that can make you eat only low calorie foods and in the correct amount. The only thing the sleeve is capable of doing is limiting the amount of food you can eat, to help you learn to be satisfied with less. So if it is your intention to rationalize a way to circumvent that limiting factor, then the sleeve won't work for you and you will fail. Trying to get others to enable you by agreeing with your rationalization is further proof you're headed down the wrong path.

All I can say is you need to readjust your thinking and stick to the program as outlined by your weight loss team if you want to salvage any success from your surgery.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
