Idahomommy04 1 Posted March 5, 2014 (edited) Hello my doctor is going to send for my approval through MediCaid for my sleeve. I have hypothyroidism and have not lost any weight in the 6 months pre surgery program. I have yoyo'ed up and down and now for my final appointment on Thursday I'm up 5 pounds! Will they not approve me? I have done the program to the T! So its frustrating. Plus I started my monthly today so I'm bloated and icky. Any advice or help is appreciated! I also have hypothyroidism I haven't had my consult yet but next two weeks. My question for you is this have you checked your TSH levels lately? Are you on synthroid or generic if so how many mcmg? I'm asking because before my dr. Found my right dosage with synthroid I would yoyo now I don't gain or lose but my levels are getting better. When I used the generic brand I also yoyo alot. I know my answer is more questions sorry about that.
Idahomommy04 1 Posted March 5, 2014 I use a generic brand of Synthroid 37mg I think. I was on a higher dose and was losing weight but they said my levels were too high. So my doctor refuses to change my prescription. I haven't had my levels checked since last October probably. Its beyond frustrating.

My dr wants me doing blood work once a month. Honestly I would say get a second opinion. If your Dr is a regular dr. Try to see an endocrinologist...Please something doesn't sound right. Does anyone else have these same testing length of over 3 months?
mizzzmoka 33 Posted March 5, 2014 Idahomommy04 your gonna be fine the six month weight loss is just to make sure you went to see you're doctor and was at least trying. I went up and down and got approved and my surgery is tomorrow. So best of luck to you.

I just didn't know if I should postpone my 6th appointment for next week when I know I won't be bloated or on my monthly haha. I heard Medicaid is ridiculous sometimes. You must be so excited! Good luck to you
