mmarie 1 Posted March 4, 2014 I need help! I have found myself Over the past couple of weeks eating and eating even when I'm not hungry AND been craving sweet things again. I don't know what to do about this I do not want to be on the road to failure!! Any suggestions?
thinnerdays 0 Posted March 4, 2014 Maybe detox off of sugar and carbs to get yourselft back on track, and exercise for the discipline. I read in another post that another person had similar issues-- the cravings and that when she did that with the help of a trainer, she got back on track and even lost another 30 lbs. I know it is easier said than done, but you sound as though you really want the help, so hope this helps, I know I'll be needing it in the future!

Dee_1111 317 Posted March 5, 2014 your cravings are the brains way of telling you I NEED SOMETHING, are you getting enough complex carbs in? how is your fruit intake?..listen to your body. Your thinking the 'OLD" way, feed it sweets ...think the NEW way. Here is where you have to leave your old life behind. Don't go to your OLD habits, look to your NEW ones, cravings are because the body is lacking something, whether it be Water, good carbs, Protein, omega's, something, do a food log check. Do everything you can think of, so you don't snack on an OLD HABIT. 2 pquinn181 and Judyr reacted to this
Dee_1111 317 Posted March 5, 2014 sorry I always have after thoughts... new WLS people are so crammed with Protein, PROTEIN, Water, WATER, PROTEIN, PROTEIN!!!!.. but your body still needs OTHER nutrients to work. Yes, we do have to go Protein first, water, etc..but the body still needs ALOT more to function, and when it needs something, it tickles the belly, that's its way of getting our attention. If we lack the knowledge to listen, we misread its signals, it craves LIVE, GOOD, FOODS. sorry I a bit passionate about this subject. 2 Judyr and pquinn181 reacted to this
Judyr 57 Posted March 5, 2014 I recently had a spell where I was hungry all the time. I upped my Water intake to try to fill up. Drank more Protein and ate a lot of chicken broth. The hot Soup seemed to feel good. fruit will help with the sweet cravings. Atkins has some bars that are really good and that helped. At first I ate too many(2), but now I really pace myself. poko64 2 Posted March 5, 2014 Definately detox the sugar- intake more Water and to curve the sugar issue- fruit was a great idea. Agree with what was posted above about your body telling u it needs something- retrain your brain and feed the craving with healthy stuff 2 Dee_1111 and Judyr reacted to this
mmarie 1 Posted March 5, 2014 Thank you guys! Maybe I'm not getting enough Protein in ... I'm going to start doing MFP again and keep track of everything! How would I detox the sugar? Which fruits are good for weight loss patients?
Judyr 57 Posted March 6, 2014 I would not survive without MFP. They also tell you how to change your amounts, so I upped my Protein goal to fit my requirements. I post every day after each food intake/meal. 1 Dee_1111 reacted to this
