tiajsuccess 13 Posted March 4, 2014 Hello everyone, I would like to find out if I'm the only one with this problem. I had my surgery on 2/10. Surgery was successful. When returning to work things seemed to be fine, until the stressors hit. I get pains in my chest. The pain is similar to the pain of drinking to fast. I also began to burp. A week after my surgery, I was stressed because of a family member and vomited. My line of work is very stressful, but in the past a walk or calm music would help. I have tried walking. I leave the office and walk, but as soon as I go back in the building the pain comes back. Anyone else physically feeling stress? Thank you all for your time and replies. sarahgirrl 12 Posted March 4, 2014 I was sleeved on 2/27 and have been feeling similar things. I went back to work yesterday, which I know was way too early. Im also a single mom and had some crap with the ex start up yesterday so I was a complete mess. I think it has something to do with how I breathe when Im stressed that really effects me, but I def feel chest tightness.

I had my surgery in July 2013. I too had similar issues. What I did find that after about 2 months I did become less stressed and my family and friends actually commented on it. My job is very stressful so several months later I found myself realizing that I was starting to be stressed again. I did a lot of thinking that I really liked not being stressed all the time with my job and decided to change my career after 18 years in my field. It is in the same line of work but less stress. I am now so happy and realized that the journey we all go through is not just the weight. I could not be happier! My sleeve has changed me in many ways. I hope things get better for you. Once you loose and start feeling healthy I think you will see the stress does clear up a tad. I wish you the best. 1 Sherry S reacted to this

tiajsuccess 13 Posted March 8, 2014 Spoke to my doctors office. They feel the pain is not related to stress, rather acid. I will be taking a test on the 10th to evaluate my digestion system. Thank you for your support. Nothing like having an experienced individual share your JOURNEY. 1 Texasmeg reacted to this
