Melissa Ayodele 5 Posted March 4, 2014 (edited) Hey all. I'm Melissa, and I was sleeved on November 13 2013. I started my journey weighing 340 lbs, got down to 290 my 2 week pre op, and today I weigh 227 lbs. I feel absolutely amazing. I never really notice the difference until I see pics but I'm now able to do so many things I felt I was missing out on. I run 3 miles a day, do kick boxing 6 days a week and start every morning off with my Protein Shake and an insanity DVD. This is just the beginning of my journey, I am so anxious to see what's next. Melissa Ayodele 5 Posted March 4, 2014 Yes, your calculations are right... I can't even believe it myself. I nearly fainted when my surgeon weighed me today. I never step on the scale, I don't want the numbers to over come me. I just stay focused an work hard. I went from a 24 to a 16. 3x to a lg. thank you so much 1 She's_Sleeved reacted to this
Madam Reverie 2,958 Posted March 4, 2014 May I ask what your eating plan is like? Calories, carbs, sugars, Protein, etc?
Melissa Ayodele 5 Posted March 4, 2014 Would love to share. I don't do carbs, they hurt my belly. I eat mostly veggies and Protein such as fish, turkey, and sometimes beef. I also make sure I get in two Protein Shakes a day. If I want something sweet I eat grapes or a banana and it satisfies my craving. I'm never really hungry i mostly eat because I know I have to get something into my body.

Band2Sleever 78 Posted March 5, 2014 Wow, you're incredible! How soon after surgery did you start running 3 miles a day, doing kickboxing and insanity? I'm STILL preop and feeling frustrated by the wait and uncertainty. Keep up your great work. It's inspiring. Thank you for positing. ...but I'm now able to do so many things I felt I was missing out on.
