jdillon 355 Posted March 3, 2014 How soon after surgery can I swim? We live in the Las Vegas area and I will be having a summer surgery. If you have never been to Vegas in the summer, Let me tell you, it gets HOT! Swimming will be a big part of my exercise program in the beginning. Walking will have to be on the treadmill in the air conditioning. Lol
Texasmeg 568 Posted March 3, 2014 I couldn't take a bath until the doctor agreed that the incisions were completely healed ( almost a month).

NICU-RN 31 Posted March 3, 2014 With the stretching and the pulling of the abdominal area swimming involves, it might be longer than just a month. I would encourage you to ask your surgeon as each surgeon has his own preferences about things like that.
