Jacqueline K 93 Posted March 3, 2014 So I have lost 138 pounds at this point 9 months out from my bypass. I still need to lose around 70 more pounds but I haven't lost hardly anything in 2 months now. I bounced around in the same 3 pound range. I upped my exercising the past 2 weeks and lost 4 pounds but now seem to have stalled again as all 4 pounds were in first week. So last week I upped the exercise a bit more again. I am eating 1200 calories a day (I am accounting for the exercise in that- which I'm doing 5 days a week). My surgeon actually told me to stay at 1000 calories a day but that seemed too low. Now I am concerned that maybe 1200 is too low? All the calculators I've used to determine the calories I need place me way higher than that. I am worried that maybe my body is in starvation mode? Can anyone offer an advice on how to get my weight loss moving again? I feel like I'm doing everything right. I'm so frustrated!
BBdoodle 483 Posted March 3, 2014 Sometimes you level off after a while, you may want to add more Protein and change up and increase your exercise. Make sure you are getting "minimal" 45 minutes of exercise daily AND is your heart rate is the fat burning mode?
Birthsjourney 146 Posted April 3, 2014 I stall for a month also! It is discouraging but I try very hard to believe in the process! It moves almost everytime I increased my Proteins to over 100 and I keep my calories to about 800... Your doing great but I sure get what your saying!
