Hi, I am almost 8 months out, down 164 pounds. 338-174. I work as a manager of a fast food restaurant. This week, Tuesday I was moved from a slow low volume store to a very busy hectic store. I thought I was doing pretty well at the slow store, but moving to this busy store I lost 3 pounds in just a few days. I try to eat something on my way to work because its an hour drive. I usually eat a slice of ham and cheese for the Protein. But once I get to work its too busy, too hectic to even think about trying to get a little bite of food in or drink. I work a 10 hour shift too. When I get off work I grab a price of grilled chicken and usually eat about half of that on my way hone. I know I've got to find some way to eat a little more somehow.

You are doing great to be able to work at a fast food restaurant and stay so disciplined. I know that must be super hard. sounds like you are prepared and that is the hardest part. Just add a few more planned meals into you day and that will bump you up a little to more food. Great job on your wl success!

Hi! Wow you have done amazing! Is it possible for you to fix something for yourself at the restaurant and put it to the side? Then it will be ready for you whenever you get a break? I used to work at a very busy retail store as a manager, and it was virtually impossible to get a planned break/lunch because you are constantly covering for other people, but maybe if you already had something prepared and ready to grab it could be easier? Even if you brought your own cooler (small construction worker cooler) you can grab and go. I have started shopping (food) for work and keep everything in a soft cooler in the fridge at work. That way I can just pick and choose/grab and go.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
