terry1118 1,274 Posted March 2, 2014 Nothing is wrong with you. After my surgery nothing tasted right to me either. food didn't smell right, either. That lasted a month or two before gradually going away. It actually was helpful in taking care of the 'head hunger'. life_after_gastric_bypass 214 Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) You taste buds do change after surgery, I remember Water was tasting like metal, yogurt I gagged at the taste in fact anything I put in my mouth had a bitter taste to it....I will say in the weeks to come it does get better...
