jennyR3 5 Posted March 2, 2014 Hi. I'm had my surgery on Feb. 24 2014 and looking to establish a support system. So far I've encountered issues with gas anf not being able to burp like I used to. This has caused ne some discomfort but I'm trying to deal with it. I also feel like I'm not getting in enough liquids or Protein. Would gladly consider any suggestions to help on this journey. shaza1963 71 Posted March 2, 2014 Welcome and congratulations on your sleeve. As I was told by my surgeon hydration is most important the first two weeks, so sip, sip, sip. I am 31/2 weeks out and am only managing 40 gm Protein. The burping is hard. Sometimes I have to stand up and rub my tummy like a baby lol. It gets better. 1 jennyR3 reacted to this

I am only getting small amounts of Protein in and Water but I'm trying to remember to sip constantly. Congrats on your surgery, good luck on your journey, and please feel free to contact me if you want to chat, rant, and\or rave! jennyR3 5 Posted March 3, 2014 Thanks so much guys for all the suggestions. It does seem to get better each day. I was at church yesterday though and found that sitting to long doesn't agree with me right now. Has anyone had that experience, with sitting to long? I also need some suggesting on Protein Drinks and where I can't find them please.
