jlmckee 28 Posted March 2, 2014 Hi again 4 weeks, 5 days post-op My incisions are healing great. Surgeon said they look good and I can wash them more thoroughly in the shower. I have 6 incisions. For 1, the scab already fell off. The others, the scabs are ItChY. I forgot to ask him if I can use anything to stop it. I don't want to accidentally scratch and make things worse. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what did you do? PS, I hope everyone is doing good/great.
loving.life 110 Posted March 2, 2014 No you can't use anything and yes normal. I pitched around each one slowly. It will pass. Good luck

tkauhi 90 Posted March 2, 2014 I'll be 4 weeks out on Wednesday. I'm having trouble with itching but not from my incisions. My whole torso is driving me crazy entire back, chest n stomach. Anyone know why this might be?

jlmckee 28 Posted March 3, 2014 I was just hoping there was something to put on that'd help the itching. But you all are correct, PA said not to put anything. I am wearing a tank top tucked in because the waist band of my pants were irritating 3 of my incisions. The tank top helps. I'm glad to hear that it'll pass. Thanks
terry1118 1,274 Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) I'll be 4 weeks out on Wednesday. I'm having trouble with itching but not from my incisions. My whole torso is driving me crazy entire back, chest n stomach. Anyone know why this might be? Dry skin? My surgery was May 30 and I began to experience very dry skin around a month afterward, even though it was hot and humid out. I also had an acne outburst around that time that lasted a month or so. You're burning fat quickly by then which releases hormones and toxins stored in the fat into your system. Lotions will help and I used Vitamin E oil on the worst spots. Try to get your fluids in each day. If you develop a visible rash see your doctor. It could possibly be an allergic reaction. :-) Edited March 3, 2014 by terry1118
