Do you wear a Medical ID bracelet due to the Band?

Recommended Posts

But an endoscope could. Your friend is looking at things from the point of view as an EMT. They do 10% of the job. 90% is done in the ER setting and that is where the issue is. An EMT is EXTREMELY limited in what they can do in the field or a hospital setting. It's like the nursing asst of the ER. Merely a limited point of view.
Wouldn't a punctured stomach be more likely, then, if you had a Medical ID saying "no NG without scope" than if you didn't have the ID?

My Uncle was quite concerned with me wearing the medic alert---he is a Dr. in a MUCH more populated area than we are in here---he was concerned, that they have enough info on me. I have multiple drug allergies, and a couple of tumors in my body, that are being watched, and dealt with---but could shock the hell outta an unknowing Dr.!!! Then I added the band. So he took me down, we picked it out, and he helped me set up all the info he thought might be important. Now he just renews the yearly fee of something like $17.95. I was with him, he used his card to activate it, and now he just continues it.

With all of my allergies, and assorted issues, I'd have to have a winding band, like Cleopatras snake bracelet!!!!

Hmmm... Dr. C????

I'd sure like to have another licensed medical professional weigh in, if any are around.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
