Breast lumps and ripples

Recommended Posts

Hey girls, just got back from Dr. No news really. Tuesday I have an ultrasound and then I am on stand by for a MRI/biopsy. That depends on what the ultrasound tellls them. The mammo didn't show much because of my age my breast tissue is so dense. Blah....

I feel no better this freaking sucks.....

Well crap! I was hoping you'd be writing us some upbeat news today. One more hurdle done though. It's a process getting stuff checked out. Our medical situation really sucks. We should pass a law prohibiting doctors from making people wait when they are in such a worried state of mind. My brother waits an unbelievable amount of time for all of his test results. Weeks! He lives in Colorado Springs.

We're here for you Boo!!

I agree waiting is the worst part of it all! It feels like your entire life is on hold until you find somehting out. I am 29 and had been having chest pains back in Jan. So my dr ordered testing anyway it came back saying that my heart looked a little enlarged and they wanted to do more testing the echocardio-whatever. Oh my gosh, I could hardly function knowing that something might be wrong. Well finally about 2 weeks later we received the test results and they determined everything was Normal, thank god! But that was the one of the toughest two weeks of my life.

I will be praying for you and thinking of you!!! :hug:Paula

Hello ladies

I am sorry I know you all probly want to choke me right now. I have been dealing with all of this, and well I choose to hide. Can't hide from yourself though...

The lowdown....

Pre cancer cells. I am VERY lucky that I lost weight, they are telling me that is the only way I could have ever found it. Treatment will be a few rounds of directed radiation, and surgery to remove what will be left. Possibly followed up again by radiation. It was caught early, not a ton of side effects from the radiation. NO chemo at all. SO all in all, not as bad as I thought.

My sincere thanks to all of you for your support! Hugs!

Hiya hunny bunny, glad to see you here.

Hope you are doing okay, I had a chocolate bar (a dark one, so not quite as bad) in support of your dietary changes recently. :hungry: :D (It was sssssooooooo yummy!)

Please keep us posted (and let me know when you have a surgery date, k?).

Hey Faith!!! :D

Speaking of surger, when is yours again?

As a nurse what are the chances that I won't have to have surgery? I am wondering because I know the point it to kill and shrink the cells. Can they just kill them all? Wishful thinking maybe...

Thanks for your support....lol....I need to give it up now and get out of this fog I am in!

Boo Boo: That's actually a relief! Yes, you'll be having to deal with it for a while, but thank God you got involved with the process sooner rather than after it might have had a chance to evolve into something much worse!

We'll all be saying a prayer for you and hoping that it isn't too unpleasant a process. Hang in there darlin' - seems most of us women have to deal with this problem sooner or later in our lives either through our friends and family or our own bodies. You can handle it, I know you'll be just fine!

Btw, I do have what I consider to be an important recommendation. If you do not have an oncologist, get one. In fact, if it were me, I would speak with an oncologist and get his/her assessment for treatment and a plan of action before I did anything. The reason I say this is because they are current on all the latest research and treatments and they have so much experience with all aspects of breast health. There is a terrible fear of the unknown and the more information you have, the more proactive you can be with regard to your own health.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
