5 months? That's awesome! What workout regimen do you use?

I use my WII Fit a half hour a day, which i sometimes skip, and I use my Ab Roller and do 50-100 sit ups a day, walk the dog, and do a lot of shopping ;-) lol.

My pre op diet was just a 24 hour liquid diet. It's so odd how so many programs are different!

I know im not near 1 month out yet (bout half way) but i feel like im doing something wrong. First 3 days i lost 10lbs- i get it i wasnt eating or drinking much at all... then i got better about Protein shakes and Water... its been 9 more days and i havent lost one pound since. I started yoga post op day 7 (just gentle stretches, breathing and mild strength exercises) and did three days of that. Wondered if this happened to others in the early time right after surgery. I avg 50-80 gm Protein daily, getting round 750 cal per day, still not getting the full amt of Water in but working on it. I feel like im smaller but the scale isnt matching... i did jump to puree a little early (got so tired of shakes, water and soup!) but doing well with tuna and low fat mayo (takes me all day to get through one can but its 33gm protein and only 250 cal or so)

anyhew thanks

ps i was 280 at start of program, 5mths later i was 243 going into surgery and now 233 at 5'6''

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
