paj92434 27 Posted February 27, 2014 Hi everyone. I went to see my surgeon for the first time today. I have been going through the program that my insurance requires (BCN of MI) six months of classes. There was no weight loss number requirement. I have a date of March 21st!!!! Now I just hope that my insurance OKs it. I am very happy and I no longer have any doubts on doing this!!! My doc even said it is best for me!! I will be having my surgery at Beaumont in Royal Oak MI. I am so glad to be able to share this with you all!!!! Im 51 and weigh 245. BMI is 42. 1 paxtonsmimi reacted to this
NMJG 1,266 Posted February 27, 2014 Good for you! You will be amazed how quickly you will start feeling better. My arthritis in hips, knees, back etc. is so much better. I can exercise. Blood pressure has dropped and cholesterol is good. Not to mention no more blood sugar worries. So as a 50, you may lose slower (I did) than the younger folks. Don't worry about it if it happens. 1 Miss Mac reacted to this

slimdown456 0 Posted February 28, 2014 Good luck to you on your surgery. My surgery date is March 13th. Very excited and a little nervous at the same time. I am on my second day of the required 1200 calorie diet.
