I listened to your song you love and it was sweet and had a real tone in it for exactly the struggle of the journey we are taking. the ups and downs and remembering who we are inside. Thanks for the listen!

I am very glad that you listened to it & enjoyed it! I hope it helps you through your rough patch. Stay Strong & remind yourself that you are in control!!! You are an inspiration to many of us on here & you are a very strong woman with all you have overcome during your journey & you will overcome this as well all in due time!

I always get really depressed and anxious this time of year. This year has been completely unbearable. I went to my meds doctor last week and told him the struggles I have had and he said he wouldnt change my meds because they should be working and suggested light therapy. I cry everyday. Can barely get out of bed to go to work. I feel like I have nothing to look forward to. Money problems, messy house that I cant bring myself to clean, boring job that I dont like... etc.

I had my surgery in sept so along with taking away my comfort (food), winter set in and made things so much worse. I feel hopeless on a daily basis and I really need help too. I understand where you are coming from. feel free to message me to talk anytime. I could use it too.

I am so sorry about your situation. I know where you are coming from. Usually this time of year they would give me some extra meds to help me through until may. But alas I fired my shrink...

I went to my doctor and he gave me some mild sleeping pills and it has not helped the depression but at least I am sleeping at night again...

I hate this feeling. So dark and deep...We cannot let it win though...Message me anytime you need me as well.....We can kick it into its rightful place together...k

It kinda sounds weird that your doctor didn't want to change meds. If you are crying everyday and not wanting to get out of bed then it sounds like their not working. My doc has said before that if their working he wouldn't want to change them. Maybey a second opinion would be good. Winter on the east coast sounds horrible this year. Espresso helped me some. And I take lots of Effexor and then ambien at night. Good sleep cuts down my anxiety. But I would be concerned about deep depression. Some of it is just crap we need to work out but some of it is our brain chemistry. Mine is handed down from both sides of my family. Plus my husband is bipolar with schitso effective disorder so I've been around the mental health block a lot. His psych says he does have to change meds with some people every couple of years. That a med that has worked for a long time can stop working. Anyhow I know it's hard to get to the doctor and make them make changes or try out a new doctor but suffering sucks. It's not worth it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
