Im looking for any first hand info I can get about the lap band. I am waiting to see if my insurance will approve. I am afraid that I will be sick all of the time. Is this true? I read a few things that made me gag just reading them. I would like to know the good and bad....I am an over eater and eat fast....I know both of these things will have to stop. I like sugar and also eat too much of the right things.....IM wondering if this is the right thing for me?????

Just a general comment from me.

With the band you get full but you want to eat more. It takes a while to get your brain wrapped around this concept.

I am very happy and my issue with food is getting better each day.

You must feel so good....Congratulations on your success. I hope the insurance company answer comes this week. I was glad to hear that your issue with food is getting better because I know it dosn't matter what you do, if you don't change your eating habits, you can forget about it working. IM not looking for a magic wand,(unless you have one and want to let me borrow it...lol) but I want the band to make me not overeat and not eat certain things. I think we all know how to lose weight. I my case, I need something to force me to do it.

Patience is the first thing you need with the band. If you have that you can go a long way.
