kimk1999 450 Posted February 27, 2014 Hi and welcome! For the most part this is an excellent family to join. There are a few sour grapes here and there but for the most part all positive support. Surgery on Monday? Good luck you'll do fine. Do you have gas-x, heating pad and ice packs? Do you have your allowable liquids? I had cream of chicken with milk; creamy tomato; broth; juice etc. Congrats and good luck on your new journey. 1 terrydumont46 reacted to this

megankc93 16 Posted February 27, 2014 Thanks everyone! Has anyone every had gallbladder problems after surgery with lapband
kimk1999 450 Posted February 27, 2014 Thanks everyone! Has anyone every had gallbladder problems after surgery with lapband I've read about a number of people that have had it on this forum after surgery. That was one of my questions for my surgeon too. 'Usually' a number of people will have issues with their gallbladder in conjunction with a very low fat diet (if I remember correctly). My sister had to have hers removed and she doesn't have any wls. This was after the HCG diet. My surgeon basically said there's no direct correlation between wls and gallbladder issues. There's almost no way to tell that if they didn't have wls would they still have GB issues? If that makes any sense. No direct cause and effect between wls and GB issue. nursewallace 3 Posted February 28, 2014 Hey! I had my gall bladder taken out May 2013 and I was banded 3 weeks ago. The only issue I have is gas. But I had that before lapband. Now it's just a little more. But no other issues. ????
