cdestrada 6 Posted February 26, 2014 I am a little over 4 weeks out and I am starting to eat solid foods. However, everything tastes nasty. I have no taste anymore. Although, my Soups taste fine. but solids just don't. Is this normal? will my tastes ever change back? or will I forever hate food? I get so frustrated. Southjerzjoy 40 Posted February 27, 2014 Same date and I live on Soups string cheese and oatmeal. Would totally rather skip eating. I will wish for this someday. Good luck to us.
MGR1852 292 Posted February 27, 2014 I was sleeved on 12-16 and there are a lot of days nothing sounds good. I linger and linger in the kitchen just dreading having to eat a meal. Other days, it's not as bad. I'm hopeful it will get better as time goes on.....
charles2911 0 Posted February 27, 2014 Hi Cdestra,Southjerzjoy, and MGR 1852, I was sleeved on December 10,2013 and this journey is one of trial and discovery. I,too, have days where food tastes well and others not . Patience, believing in oneself, and experimentation are my mottos. Charles2911
mamamareli 144 Posted February 27, 2014 I'm also most 10 months out. This happened to me for months after surgery. My advice...consider it a blessing in disguise. It will help you stay on track and lose as much as possible during the first 6 months. After that, you get your tastes back for almost everything and with it your desire to eat (and thus harder to lose). Enjoy the honeymoon! It won't last forever!
