Columba 4 Posted February 26, 2014 I am very excited about getting my lap band surgery tomorrow, any suggestions for getting through the post op liquid phase? 1 Mikee57 reacted to this
Sharpie 3,306 Posted February 26, 2014 You will be surprised at how little you care about food.. during the healing phase it won't be difficult. just sip on liquids all day and move as much as possible. For the gas pain use a heating pad and walk around the house. otherwise get plenty of rest don't try to overdo and concentrate on healing not losing weight. Very Happy for you . Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. 1 2muchfun reacted to this

Rojasanoll 920 Posted February 26, 2014 Lots of walking after your surgery and all bubbles from gas will go away. I drove next day to a lapband forum meeting without any problems. Follow your doctor's orders after surgery.
LadyDiva618 359 Posted February 26, 2014 Remember to walk, walk, walk and walk. Gas X and therma care heating pads for the shoulder help me. Also I brought plain greek yogurt to add to my Soups. As a matter of fact I use greek yogurt in everything! Remember Protein Protein and Protein. You will do just fine. Good luck to you and welcome to the otherside! Mikee57 699 Posted February 26, 2014 My best wishes to you. Walking did help with the gas with me also...as for feeling hungry I didn't have that problem, actually most of the time felt like I didn't even want to drink...but do so okay!!! You'll do fine!!! Here's to a new beginning!!!
