So I am blessed to have lost a lot of weight since surgery in December. I'm down 68 pounds since pre-op and I'm feeling a little more attractive and sexy these days.....well a lot. I'm back on match.com and have 5 dates this week, so I'm looking pretty good.

What they don't know is the compression shirt underneath and my jiggle. I'm having great dates, but I'm terrified to go past first base.

How do you deal with it?

Anyone that gets to know you, and likes the real you, won't care that your have some jiggley parts. If that is all they see then they aren't the right person for you!

I am curious, where did you get the compression shirt and do you feel it helps? If you plan for things to go well and you think it might head that way, can you go through the date without it? First off, congrats on getting your sexy back! Most likely you were sexy before too but if you do not sense it, other ppl cannot pick up on it. I would be careful about dating anyone who says "you should be fit active and go to the gym". :) I just would check their profile for any hints about their preferred body types. Also, enjoy who you are and date like they need to impress you too. They may be just as nervous about impressing you. I like to think most men don't mind wiggle and enjoy a little jiggle on a woman. I have a fine man and he loves all my round soft edges. I think if it helps you find more confidence and if the garment gets seen-so what, its like a tight tank right? Once you are guys are into the throes of passion he is not gonna care what came off you. Make sure you can get out of it quickly and seamlessly for a sexy exit and not get stuck in it somehow. Then, note where it lands, make sure its not sitting on top of all your stuff for him to see first. Slyly take note that it should be placed somewhere under the pile of clothes....hehehe. Good luck on dating and enjoy the single girl feeling and feel good about how far you have come.

I got the compression shirt online. Spanx makes shirts for men too! Friggin expensive but I love them. Honestly, I believe that wearing one has helped with everything shrinking well. I had 120 to lose when I began my journey, and having lost 72 so far I can say that I am very please with how I am shrinking.

I agree with everyone else, be confident in you and what you bring to the table. I was sleeved on 12/17 and have lost 43lbs this far. I've allowed myself to start dating. I've been in two dates with two separate men but I told them upfront abt my surgery, due to the fact I didn't want them to look at me strange for the inability to eat my meal. It was fine, they understood and didn't judge me. Actually, they felt I looked pre and post-op. For us it's abt the weight, for the person that truly likes us for who we are, it's about US, the person! So enjoy yourself and don't worry abt the rest. We all the same size in the dark!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
