Me too. I am a week post op and can't go to next level for another week. Never thought I would look so forward to yogurt.

Totally understand. I get puree starting tomorrow and I'm so ready. Between pre and post it's already weeks of liquids (and not as many as some so trying not to be to whiny, LOL).

That said I have been able to make my liquids using yogurt and will continue those since they're yummy and will keep the Protein up. The ready to drinks are getting really old though.

Enjoy Thursday! :)

I feel for you totally. I've been having a rough time with artificial sweeteners. I get these obnoxious headaches. Even the crap they use in the shake mix . Not fun to deal with when you have a 14 month old running you ragged! I can start purées Saturday. Never thought I'd be so excited for applesauce, grits, and other mushy food. I did get permission to eat butternut squash Soup after the first week, thinned out with fat free milk. I also found unflavored Protein Powder to add to it. I can get down 1/4 cup, takes me about 10-15 minutes. I saw a recipe with broccoli, skim ricotta cheese, and roasted garlic I'm anxious to try. It looks super good. The funny thing with this surgery, food looks and smells and even sounds good. But. I still don't feel hungry or even really want it.

I feel your pain. It takes a lot for me to get a whole shake down. It's starting to almost make me nauseous. I have a hard time getting a lot of Water down too

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
