That's a little odd for sure, When I get full I can almost literally feel my tube, for lack of a better word, and its right under my sternum.

I also feel it almost backing up by my sternum. But I have read on here some people get hiccups and others sneeze. I guess it's about getting in tune with your body and it's cues.

My full feeling can be one of three things - I watch out for it because if I go past, it's not fun, it's painful.

Sometimes my nose will run. Sometimes I do a hiccup/burp things. Sometimes I feel a poke in my abdomen.

You're still fairly early if your surgery was in February - I think I didn't start feeling things until about my 5th week.

I laughed at that! No kidding.

Refried Beans were my go-to when I was hungry. They filled me up and kept me full.

Butter pants, I get the poke in my abdomen too, that's my only "que" otherwise I just stop eating when the edge of hunger is gone

One thing that I remember from one of my first doctor's appointments - she said, "Measure your food and remember, you don't have to eat it all" and "the point of eating is to rid the hunger, not necessarily to be full"

Things I try to remember - sometimes I'll stop in mid-meal and try to figure out if I'm continuing to eat because I need more food if it's because I want more food. I try not to feel "uncomfortable full" if that makes sense - more of a feeling of satisfied.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
