Third fills the charm!

Recommended Posts

Had third fill last Wednesday. Back on track and broke the plateau. Lost 3 lbs since last Wednesday. I still haven't had anything get stuck. Knock on wood! I am 6 cc in a 10 cc band. I can still chug Water though. Any thoughts on if you are supposed to be able to chug water with no problems?

I was told you should always be able to chug. It's hard enough trying to get it all in and not run to the bathroom all the time!

i would imagine if you can't chug Water than the band is too tight... least i hope so. living in AZ being able to chug water is the only way i make it through the summer.....

Congrats to you! 3 was my magic number as well, I have 5.5cc's in a 10cc band. No fills since August 17th, nice steady weight loss even when my calories have been over for that week.

Congrats on breaking the plateau!

I asked the same question about Water and from what I have been reading, not being able to chug Water may be a sign you are too tight or close to it. I could be wrong though. I can chug water, but I am not at the green zone yet.

Awesome! I just had my 2nd fill and for the first time I feel major restriction. I think my surgeon filled me more than he usually would becuase I had gained weight between my first and second fill.

I cannot chug Water at all. Sip sip sip or I PB it right back up. And I think I Am what is considered green....

Water should be able to go down easily. If it isn't, you are probably too tight. If you do your fills under endoscopy, that is what they are looking for, to make sure Fluid flows through easily.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
