isabelle290 0 Posted March 30, 2007 When I have the surgery, do you feel the port? Does it stick out? Does it bother you at all?
edieparks 2 Posted March 30, 2007 Belle, As I lost weight I could feel it more with my fingers. It does not show. I am kind of squimish so I don't explore too much. It will be fine. edie:)
niki 1 Posted March 30, 2007 I can feel my port very well. It doesn't hurt a bit (not a good sign if it hurts). I guess that in some cases when there's a BIG weight loss (which is not my case being such a slow looser...) it might show a bit right under your skin because the fat right under the skin surface went away. It's kind of funny to touch it with your fingers and feel it there, almost as you do with a piercing or am ear ring. niki
juliegeraci 7 Posted March 30, 2007 I can only feel my port if I lie down and look for it. It does not protrude.
Mrs Husker 3 Posted March 30, 2007 I can feel my port. When I take a walk I will put my hand on it and I can feel it move with each step. It doesn't hurt and I think it's cool. It is still under steri strips so I don't know if I will be able to see it yet.
