Yay! I'm glad I found this thread because I just made an Instagram account focused specifically on my weight loss after my LapBand surgery. I know mine is a little different than the Sleeve but we all experience similar things after weight loss surgery right? Any motivation is good motivation :)

My instagram is BlissfullyBanded if anyone wants to add me.

Hey everyone I am 23 getting the sleeve in a little over 2 weeks. I started my liquid diet today and it is proving to be tough (I am a little dizzy now at the end of the day) I am really nervous. How have you all handled telling friends and family. My family knows and about 4 of my closest friends but I am nervous that people will think I am taking the "easy way out". I know that is not the case but I have always been all too aware of what others think of me. Any advice?

Hi all,

I'm looking to sell my fitbit flex and additional bands pack. The total cost was $145 and I'm looking to get $100. The fitbit is only 2 months old and 2 of the bands have never been taken out of the package!! Direct message me if you're interested or have any questions! Thanks!

Hi all! I'm 26 and was sleeved on May 1st. My starting weight was 266 and now I am 188. I'm still struggling with some things but every day gets easier! I am very happy with the choice that I made.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
