val1chan 1 Posted February 23, 2014 I had my surgery this past Wednesday so I'm 5 days post op. I am experiencing that "why did I do this" feeling and I've been feeling hungry the past two days which have me fixated on food & all the junk I'm craving right now (ie. French fries and a burger) .. Have any of you experienced a feeling of hunger a few days after post op like I an right now... I'm in complete torture... I can't wait for the purée stage so I can at least have some squash and mashed potatoes (to curb my starch craving)
chicagirl 9 Posted February 23, 2014 Hi- I was sleeved on tues 2/18. I am totally at the .."why did I do this" stage!! I was so hungry yesterday but had to let it pass. I am so sick of Protein Shakes and Water too. I'm def not getting either of those requirements met on a daily basis. ...everytime I look in the mirror I get so sad because I am so much more round than last week. It's hard to see the light but just take it day by day. Hang in there- you're not alone!!
920amy 409 Posted February 23, 2014 Nesa, you look great!! I've taken pictures as a marker of my success, the things I did to keep sane about looking at them, I only took pictures once a month, I did the exact same poses each time. I tried to wear the same types of clothes and undergarments. I can definately tell in your pics that your belly is smaller, but in your first pic, your arm is on your hip, so of course it looks different than with it held flat against your body. Also, standing with your feet apart and together also makes your legs look different. Try to take pics in the same poses, and I know this sounds super crazy, but try not to look at the pictures you just took and compare them to the last ones. I didn't even look at my pictures until I was already 6 months out, then, it was MIND BLOWING to see the difference! You're doing a great job and looking fabulous!! Just take it one day at a time!!
