jlong007 6 Posted February 23, 2014 Hello All, I am 20 days out from my surgery and I've been drinking the Celebrate shakes that includes the Multivitamins in them plus 1000 B12 sublingual, should I be taking anything else? What did you guys take? (Iron, b-complex, d3 etc...)
leo0704 48 Posted February 23, 2014 My Doctor has had me on a chewable Flintstone. I'm almost 4 weeks out and will be adding in calcium citrate with D plus Biotin. I can also take a regular Multivitamin now instead of the chewable. That's it for now.
Bob2013 326 Posted February 23, 2014 Just a good multi Vitamin, B12, and calcium citrate with Vitamin D. I just switched to injectable B12 with chromium for an extra boost. One thing to watch out for. This is a mistake I made. If using any kind of Gummy Vitamins or Calcium, look at the calories. For the first 2 weeks post op I was taking calcium citrate gummies. 2 gummies twice a day. Then one day I looked at the nutritional info and saw thet they were 30 calories each. So I was eating 120 calories a day just on the calcium. Such a waste of calories. I switched to a liquid with no calories. They dont taste as good but thats 120 calories I can use somewhere else
