wwled 38 Posted February 23, 2014 I go back to work tomorrow (almost three weeks out, but just getting over the flu) and I work 70 hours a week. Not as daunting as it seems, but today I was at the mall and just walking around for three hours drained the crap outta me! I ended up falling asleep during the car ride home. I'm on the mushy stage, so just wondering how people have dealt with low energy, and if they have something that keeps them going through the day? Thanks! DonnaMarie28 18 Posted February 23, 2014 I was the same way when I went back to work. Sad to say weeks 4-5 were bad or me with working and low energy. I would get home around 6 eat dinner and fight to stay awake until bed time. I'm now at wk 7 and it has improved. Definitely exercise and take your Vitamins. That helped me! Good luck! 1 Band2Sleever reacted to this

Good luck! well, I guess on the bright side I don't have much to go! I haven't been taking my vitamins..oops. Mostly because just as I hit the mushy phase, I came down with the flu. Set me back so much. Couldn't eat anything without getting severely nauseous. Ate oatmeal tonight after work, one of the mcds ones. Only had maybe half, but barely any nausea! I find myself getting excited over the little things, like no nausea haha. I have noticed that cold fluids make me nauseous, particularly Water. Do you have this problem? spiritedcowgirl63 108 Posted February 24, 2014 I had low energy too. I was off for 2 weeks then worked 1/2 days for another. Went home and crashed. It does get better.

rbtnln 81 Posted February 24, 2014 I saw my surgeon today. He asked what Vitamins I was taking and I said a multi-Vitamin and a B12 in pill form. He said you have to take the B12 sublinqually (i.e. under your tongue). He had a patient tell him they got drops at Wal Mart for 88 cents. Not sure if that's the case as I haven't been there yet but it sounds good. I still take a nap every day and crash at night and I'm a few months out from surgery. He said it was probably due to low Vitamin B 12. I'm getting blood work done soon to verify. You definitely want to get on a vitamin regimen soon, though, if you're not on one. NMJG 1,266 Posted February 24, 2014 I felt like cr@p the whole first month. Be gentle on yourself, it gets better. You just had major surgery! Vitamins do make a difference. I take B12 injections once a month.
