DinaNJ 92 Posted April 4, 2014 @ Mobee I saw Dr. Strom yesterday. He was great, addressed all my concerns and was open to when I want to return to work. The coordinator Heather is also great. I told her what needed to be done to extend my disability and she did it on the spot. 1 MoBee reacted to this

karinbuck 42 Posted April 5, 2014 Jerseygrl I'm jealous that you get to eat crackers. Lol. I was sleeved march 20th. My nut has me on a puréed diet until April 14th. Than hopefully I can have a cracker. Lol it's one of the things I have been craving. Mostly because of all the Soup I've been eating. Old habits die hard. karinbuck 42 Posted April 6, 2014 Jerseygrl, I'm struggling with wanting to weigh myself everyday. Many of the bloggers here have recommended not doing it. So I'm trying to wait until my doc appointment. But that hasn't been working. I give in about every third day. I think you and I just both need to trust the process a little more and not get to involved with the scale yet. Good luck to you. I know I need it myself
nonna312 1 Posted April 9, 2014 Hi, I live in central NJ and I am having my sleeve done on 3/14 in Holmdel. My initial consultation was January 23rd. I just got my approval from my insurance yesterday. The strangest thing is that I thought I wouldn't get approved. I have a low bmi (36) and mild sleep apnea, chronic heartburn, and shortness of breath at times. I got my approval before I even finished all of my tests for clearance. I'm kind of in shock now ! I even called my insurance company to make sure I was approved. I wasn't really taking it seriously until I knew it was a sure thing and now I am in a panic!!! CraveUrBrains 12 Posted April 9, 2014 (edited) Yeah, unless you're into self torture, you're better off not weighing yourself everyday. I do it like every week and even then I think its a lot. I think using your clothes and body measurements is a better way to keep track. BTW month old sleever from Atlantic City Area. Friend me if you want. Sorry JerseyGirl, I just had my first stall, I dropped 50lbs and then it stopped I got a little frustrated. I think the fact that this is only a weightloss tool, and not a magic bullet is sinking in. NowHisMrs0711 4 Posted April 22, 2014 Anyone from NJ out there? I had band removed and sleeve surgery scheduled for March 4th. On day 5 of liquid Proteins. Would love to hear from others, especially newbies/soon to be! Hello all! I'm from North Jersey. Just had my first visit with my surgeon today and will be scheduling my screenings for the coming weeks. I was told my surgery will be this coming June/July. I'm nervous but excited at the same time to be going through with this. Any post op sleevers feel hungry with the liquid/shake diet? Or does the extreme hunger really subside? sjohn 4 Posted April 25, 2014 Hello, I am from North Jersey. I had my surgery on 3/24/14 by Dr Earl Noyan in Hamilton. The first few days were rough for me,. I do not tolerate pain very well. I was blessed to have a private room. My bed was a little short, I am 5'9. I am down 25lbs which I am happy about. I was at a stall a couple of weeks ago, which they say is normal. I wish everyone the best on their pre surgery and surgery dates. Hang in there. It will be worth it. I really feel great and this is only the beginning of my journey.
