Try Quest bars. They're awesome and they're low in carbs. Most of them are 160-170 calories each and 20 grams of Protein.< /p>

I eat hard boiled eggs every day for Breakfast. Beans are high Protein. Peas, Broccoli, and spinach have good amounts of protein too. I love the Morning Star Farms Spicy Black Bean burgers. I spread a little hummus on them. Yummy.

There are also Protein shots you can take they are low in carbs and high in Protein, you can also look for soy protein and tofu.

You want to find things that are going to help your band work and more solid protein. How about fish?

Im not a big meat eater either but I do love elk and moose , salmon, tuna , turkey Jerky, Peanut Butter , Luna bars, Belvita Breakfast biscuts ( Walmart or most other grocery stores in the cookie aisle, I didnt like the choc ones but the cinnamon brown sugar are the best ! ) Also try almonds , sunflower seeds or Somersaults , a sunflower seed snack.

Scuba chic!!! What is that???

Lol! It's actually soybeans I think. They are green and the size of a large pinto bean. You can buy them in the pod or shelled, both in frozen food section. They are super high in Protein. I love them. Pictsweet brand has a microwaveable individual container that has them still in the Pod, sprinkled with sea salt. The container basically steams them in the microwave. I have bought the shelled ones before and steamed them too. Mmmmm yum.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
