Mine too! I am calm as well. My check in time is 12:30 ughhh, I was hoping for earlier. I am hungry, but not terribly so. I am anxious about the future :)

My surgery is April15. I too went into this process thinking sleeve, but my doctor changed my mind also due to GERD. Hope you have a safe surgery and a speedy recovery!

How did you find out you had GERD?

I have had incidences of severe indigestion and heart burn. My doc asked me on my initial visit, if I had any incidence of reflux, heartburn, indigestion or gastritis. I told him yes and he said the sleeve has the tendency to increase these symptoms .

well,I've moved my status to post op. I had 4 days in the hospital. A few complications but I am home now. I still can't figure out this site because I'm losing brain cells with the weight loss.lol Just kidding. But I'm not use to these type of sites soI don't know how to respond to certain people that I get email from. When my brain starts functioning again I will figure it out. I do feel like I am in a fog. I have one incision that is quite painful so I need to keep up on my pain meds. It is over though and that is a relief. Well, in some ways it is just beginning. Also, I think it is important to know that after the first few days after surgery, I went up a few pounds. It must be Fluid cause I sure am not eating much. Not hungry either. But I'm forcing myself to get all the liquid down and some Protein in. Best of luck to all of you and I guess I should move to post-op now.

I hope it's all easier from here. I'm sure it's good to be home. Don't forget to walk around hourly.

hi everyone! hope everyone is having a great time and recovering well! i am 7 days into my pre- op and i have lost 11 pounds. i am doing 3 shakes a day and 80+ ounces of clear fluids. i pee all day! its insane like i feel like im always running to the bathroom with the kiddos. I have 4 days til my surgery is anyone else experiencing irritability and crankiness? every soudn seems louder and smells seems more fragrant. i cook every night for the kids it is torture. last night they wanted to go to the movies so i took them and naturally i hold the youngest's popcorn bc she spills it everytime. the smell of popcorn was tempting me llol. I just learned i could season my broth with is nice but no salt. I am really anxious to just get the surgery oer with and start my healing. i feel like my body is going through such weird changes sometimes im freezing sometimes i feel like im in a suana. but usually always tired and low on patience haha.

good luck everyone!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
