Mrs_Johnson - me and you are together. April 21 is my day. I am so ready!

Great! We can countdown together and support each other along the way! LOL! Do you have a pre op diet? I have a two week liquid diet that I start on April 8th, so I will be needing all the support I can get!! Please keep in touch!!

I have a pre op diet for 1 week prior to surgery. And all Clear Liquids on Easter. What was I thinking. Just kidding. I'm ready for this. The Easters is what got me here.

I downloaded a countdown clock app for my iphone. 1 month today! Whoo Whoo!!! Although, I just realized I will not be able to procrastinate and do the taxes on the last day since that's surgery day.

I've also started shopping. If you are looking for small (1oz, 2oz) size containers, search baby food containers. There is a whole world of people who make their own baby food which means there are a ton of container options. Glass or BPA free plastic. My Amazon wish list is huge!!!

I am April 15!!! Start liquid diet April 1. I am so scared I won't have the energy to work once only on liquid. Should be interesting

That's exactly how I feel! My job is moderately physical and I'm worried I won't have enough energy too!

I'm scheduled for April 14th... Possibly could be earlier if there are any cancellations. Under a month now and getting excited and nervous. Pre-op mandatory diet starts 3 weeks before.

I am hoping for a April/May Surgery date! Just finished my last psychology Appointment. Waiting for letter of approval!

I called the insurance company just to make sure they received everything. They did and it is being processed! Not an official approval but representative was very positive about it.

I have been looking at my schedule and going to request an April 25 date if possible...day after my last college exam.

I have no pre-op diet just the skills I have been learning and trying over the last 6 months. Smaller Protein focused meals every 3 hours drinking Water between only. Cut out everything sugar based and high fat.

I am trying to substitute Protein drinks as meals so first half of day liquids then solids in evening.

Good luck everyone...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
