Hi Kelly,

My fill went really well. The doctor put in 1.6 cc in and I fell restriction. I may need a little more....I think...I'm not sure. I have an appointment for the May 29th here in Champain for another fill.

Kelly what is going on now with your weight/fill ?

I'm with you as far as rescheduling the lunch day. Lets all meet at Olive Garden on Monday 28th of May at noon to one. For the new people that want to meet with us I will be out front of Olive Garden or just inside the door . I will have a big yellow purse with a monkey on it.

Terry

I will be there on Monday the 28th for lunch. Terry, as far as my fill goes, it has pretty much been a dud. I just haven't seen any loss since my surgery. My success was pre op and slightly post op, but nothing since then. I know it is because of my ability to still eat too often and my choices should be better. I think my fill tomorrow should be the "one" but we shall see. By the way, what do you recommend to order at olive garden that will be band friendly? I'm a little intimidated about being tight. Any suggestions? I don't like their Soups and am unfamiliar with the menu other than salad and breadsticks (doubt I can eat that as of tomorrow). Thanks!

Jennie - What are you eating that has shown you such great results? I must know your daily diet so maybe I can try it and see better results. 42 pounds is outstanding!

Kelly,

Would you rather go to a different place for lunch ? How about Cheders ? Or.....any place else.....I'm easy. When I go to Olive Garden I always have the Soup and salad. I am having a bit of a problem eating too. The only thing I can eat right now is fish , Soup, or salad. I have been eating tuna salad for Breakfast ; it fills me up and its got a lot of protine. I dont eat anything until dinner time.

I keep waiting for the weight to start dropping off, but its going very slow for me too. I have been very carful about what I put in my mouth too. I am only eating healthy foods; low carbs, low cal.

My husband and I have been walking every morning for an hour and that seems to be helping. I have to get my body moving in order to lose weight. If I dont get it moving......I just dont lose.

Let me know where you want to go.... :)

Terry

p.s.

I cant wait to talk to Jennie too. I to want to know what she is doing.

Maybe its the canned chicken ?

Darn. I don't want to be a party pooper by choosing another place, but I would rather eat somewhere like Chili's or Chedders where we can just get like meat and veggies. We can go to Chedders again. Jennie's chicken and veggies looked so good last time off the kids menu. Seriously, do you mind changing restaurants?

Chedders is fine with me. I will have Soup though. As much as I would love to have the meat and vegt. they just wont go down.

So.....Everyone......We are meeting at Chedders on May 28th from noon to one.

Terry :)

Hey crazycat! My fill hurt like a SOB because he was a bit rough and didn't numb me. I've had it both ways and if the area is going to be so tender, I will go with the numbing everytime. He checked to see how much was already in my band and said I only had a little over 1cc and not 2 anymore? I still don't understand how you lose Fluid in your band without having a leak, but he wasn't one bit concerned that I had a leak. So...I now have 2 cc's (again) and I feel restriction. I hope it will last. I am anxious to start seeing results again. Honestly, I am have a terrible menstrual cycle right now, and I won't know if I am losing until I finish my cycle as I gain 3-5 pounds each time. Ugh! I did get an advil stuck this morning which shows me I am restricted, and I felt the little sucker scrape all the way down. Ouch!

Hey....Kelly,

Thats really great. I'm glad it worked for you this time. I'm starting to think that I may keep my appointment for a fill on the 29th. Who did your fill here in Champain ? I did'nt have anything for pain when I had my first fill and I was fine. I'm just wondering why they hurt you with this last fill.

I wonder how Jennie is doing.

Terry

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair. Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end. That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
