Recommended Posts

Hi. I've got two closets full of my biggest investment....my wardrobe! Executive clothing and casual clothes. Eileen Fisher, Marina Rinaldi, Lafayette 148, Oska, Jones New York Platinum and regular collection. Dresses, trousers, jackets, coats, black tie gowns, you name it. Thickest cashmere, loveliest silks, lots of linen, Wool, ie all natural fibres. Sizes from 1x to 3x. Let me know if you're looking for anything, would live to chat! PS surgery was only this month, am getting underway in anticipation!!

I anticipate something similar; I'm not quite sure how I'll work it. But I have time. I've gone from a 22 (or 2x) to, already back in some 18s, and L tops. I think I'll wait till I'm a good size 16. But I'm gathering the pieces. They range from Target to St. John's.

Anyone else had these clothing sales?

If anyone is looking for place to sell their items, I use a site/app called Poshmark. Just thought I'd share. Prior to considering bariatric surgery I ran across the site and fell in love. As I begin to lose I intend to resale or gift every piece of clothing in my closets.

I'm in Europe as well and am trying to find a place to sell my clothing, too. Like you, I have all nice brands, evening clothes, business attire, etc, size 20-22 (US sizes). Let me know if you find a place in the UK or on the Continent where we can resell. I've got boxes and boxes under my bed!

Susie044. I would love to see what you have. I'm in Texas. I think it would be awesome to have something from the UK to wear. My email is bokay@hotmail.com. We can exchange pics and info from there if you wish. Excited ????

I checked out poshmark but unfortunately it's limited to the USA. Otherwise it's a fantastic idea!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
