ajustice 484 Posted February 19, 2014 I wanted to know with gastric bypass can I have some wine I waited til I was several months out. My surgeon recommended 6 months and I've heard of some recommending a year. I worried about the sugar and how it would affect my weight loss so that's why I followed that rule. Now I just have to watch because my tolerance is low and can be really caught up in a hurry with feeling it. Good luck! 1 melanndoll reacted to this

NanHarrison 0 Posted February 20, 2014 I am 4 months post gastric bypass. I just had a glass of wine the other night and couldn't finish it...went right to my head! To think, before surgery, that one glass would be refilled before my dinner had been brought to the table. Oh, well. I was happy with only a couple of sips. I don't plan on pushing it.
